Frontier Relocation
The vision
Frontier Development was founded by David Braben’s work in games started way back in 1982 when David co-authored the seminal game “Elite”. Frontier has built a uniquely diverse track record comprising games that have defined genres, been critically acclaimed and sold many millions of copies.
Having worked with a succession of top publishers they now self-publish their own titles, developing high quality, innovative games of different genres across all major gaming formats.
As part of this growth Frontier were seeking to expand in to some XXX sqFT with a bespoke fit-out of a new office building on the Cambridge Science Park.
The work includes the Cat B fit-out of tenant areas over 4 levels including Undercroft (car park area), Ground Level, Level 1 and Level 2. The scope is to fit out the tenant spaces at all floors, except for undeveloped space on the ground level. On the Ground Level and Undercroft, improvements are proposed to the Undercroft lift lobby, atrium connecting stairs, atrium reception area and ground level entry area. Modifications to proposed Cat A finishes have also been proposed. At levels 1 and 2, the building men’s toilets will be extended to include an additional two stalls per floor.
All meeting rooms will have glass partitions along one side, all remaining partitions will be constructed of plasterboard on metal framing. All doors within the Cat B fit-out work will be floor-to-ceiling height, with oak timber veneer finish and painted timber frames/architraves. All skirting and architraves are to match the building Cat A standard. All toilet extensions will match the Cat A standards. All ceilings and lighting will match the Cat A standard, with the exception of specialty lighting in staff canteen and tea point areas.
