The vision
The development of a new 39,500m2 academic building for London College of Communication, to also accommodate management & administrative function of UAL’s ‘Central Services’, currently based at High Holborn
The site sits within the heart of the Elephant & Castle (the old Shopping Centre site), as part of a £3 billion town centre regeneration plan by Southwark Council.
The scheme will be developed by Delancey, using a team of consultants including; Allies & Morrison Architects; Hoare Lea Engineers;
Design work started in 2015, with planning submitted in October 2016. Base build should be completed mid-2020, followed by fit-out, with the building being occupied for the start of the 2021 Summer term
Total funding envelope for the shell and core and fit out of building is circa £250m.
Our Role
3PM are providing a Quality Assurance & Audit role in support of the UAL Estates Team over the 6 year development programme. This included a full audit of the key interface between the Development Agreement and the resulting implementation of in house PM services.
