The vision
The new 7,500m2 Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult is nearing completion on the GSK Bioscience Campus in Stevenage. This new centre will assist cell and gene therapy organisations across the world translate early research into commercially viable and investable therapies which will have a direct impact in advanced health care.
The CGT project is unique; aspiring to deliver a multi-product, multi process, GMP Cell Therapy Manufacturing Centre operating a ‘Resident Collaborator Concept’, allowing over the life of the building different customers to design, develop and establish an MHRA regulated production facility for cell based applications. The new facility provides six cleanroom modules in a unique “hotel concept” to allow tenants to design, develop and establish production facilities for cell based applications.
The facility includes: Cleanroom Production Modules (Class B&C), Warehouse, Waste Handling, QC Labs and Admin.
Our Role
3PM was appointed to provide lead full design team services to the point of novation at the end of RIBA Stage 4.
We provided full executive Project Management Services including NEC3 Contract Administration with sub-consulted Cost Management.
