Twickenham Stadium Upgrade Programme: Hospitality Boxes Phase 2
The vision
Part of the Twickenham Stadium Upgrade Programme, the refurbishment of the stadium’s hospitality boxes was undertaken in conjunction with several other projects in preparation for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The project comprised full refurbishment of many of the stadium’s hospitality boxes and associated corridors, lifts, lobbies and WCs throughout the West, North & East stands.
Many of the corporate hospitality areas within the refurbished spaces had been built and refurbished at different times throughout the Stadium’s life. The project was undertaken to substantially improve the customer experience throughout these spaces, to provide a uniform standard of world-class facilities for the stadium’s corporate clients.
Our Role
We were engaged as Project Managers leading the design and construction teams for this project, providing the full range of project management duties from design inception through to handover and operation.
The requirement for delivery of the project around existing Stadium events without disruption to these necessitated careful phasing and programming with the considerations of working within the live environment of an operating stadium.
The role required the extensive and robust stakeholder management procedures to ensure the new spaces were designed and delivered to meet the needs of all project stakeholders and users, without disrupting their daily operations.
The project was successfully delivered in conjunction with many others as part of the stadium upgrade programme in time for the World Cup.
Our role includes the following services:
- Risk and Opportunity Management
- Logistics and Programme Management
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Design Management and Briefing
